Despite valiant attempts to reach my former readership in The Daily Telegraph, The Adelaide Advertiser and The Courier Mail, visits to my website have plateaued with just a small increase in those who attempt to solve the Stickler Weekly. This is quite disappointing but clearly word of mouth and the odd link are not enough to create momentum. I’ve always got plans to spread the word but it all takes time.
However, I continue to enjoy writing The Stickler Weekly and I plan to keep going unless something in my life changes drastically. Unfortunately the small amount of IT consulting I had has dried up and more work in this area seems unlikely, but I’m sure something will turn up.
Don’t forget to check out the solution blog entry each week (even if you completed the puzzle Ok) as it contains a short spiel that covers a wide range of cryptic topics. To see just the solution blog entries visit here: Stickler Weekly Solutions
Anyone who also does my Australian Financial Review crossword in the weekend edition may like to know that I’m now supplying worked solutions on the website for view or download. This crossword is easier than the Stickler Weekly and is suitable for those learning to solve or doing crossword classes. You can find recent worked solutions here:

we thoroughly enjoy doing the weekly stickler here, as well as the one in the FR, which we buy just for the crossword. Any chance of any more collections in the future? We try to pay you about $1 per crossword, hope that is fair, as that was about the price of the Tele when you were in it.
Hi David,
It’s been a long time since I’ve commented, but I’ve done every single Stickler Weekly. I can’t thank you enough for the continued enjoyment every Monday. Looking forward to the next boxed set too!
Many thanks,
Kate
Hi David
I still get a delicious thrill when I open up a fresh weekly Stickler, scan for an easy clue and get the first one solved. And it is nice to go directly to your website instead of having to support the Terrorgraph which I was resenting having to do haha. So I for one, hope you manage to keep your site going. Thanks!
I think I googled you to find out what happened and found that you had once published a book of puzzles? Just searched again…. Do you still have copies of
the “New Crosswords” by David Stickley? I’d like to get a copy if possible please.
I’m intending to travel for a couple of months soon and one of my essentials is to have a book of your puzzles to solve. I take the boxed set with me anytime I’m away 🙂 I save it just for that purpose; so if you are thinking of doing another one, I’ll be keen to get one of them as well.
Thanks again!
