Hi All Sydneysiders,
I’ll be joining a monthly gathering of cryptic crossword solvers at Mosman Library on Monday 15th June, from 10.30am to 12. The group works through various cryptics together, bouncing ideas off each other. My friend, Ralph Penglis, who regularly assists the group, asked me along to share some setter insights. This time I’m going to share setting secrets, including grid generation, word placement and clueing tips.
Anyone is welcome – there’s no ongoing commitment or fee – but I do ask that you contact the library if you are planning to attend so they can allocate a suitable room.
