Thanks for the feedback on my NYT cryptic submission. The process of publishing it on the website made me think that I hadn’t actually met Will Shortz basic requirements, which is why he wasn’t more positive about it. Your respsonses also indicated a lack of flair and guile, which probably resulted from the dumbing-down that I felt I needed to do. I might actually have another go.
