The Stickler for this week has been delayed. Due to some part-time, paid, non-crossword work at the moment, I have less time each week to put together The Stickler Weekly. It should appear tomorrow.
I must also report that solving numbers have been steadying dropping, a cause of great concern.
David Stickley has been writing crosswords professionally since 1995. His cryptic puzzle, The Stickler, reached number 4786 before being axed in July 2013 due to cutbacks. In 2024 David and his wife Linda secured a weekly cryptic and quick slot in The SMH and The Age. David has also been published in the NYT, the UK's FT and Church Times.

I am happy for you David but I hope you can still provide my weekly Stickler fix. It does wonders for my grey matter.
I really hope your crosswords can continue. For decades I have regularly sought out initially the Daily Telegraph, and later the Saturday Courier Mail, and AFR primarily for your crossword. Your crosswords and one or two Guardian ones seem to be at just the right level of difficulty where as other local ones seem trivial.

I always print a copy-does that show in the numbers? Or is only the online solvers that are included? Because that could make a big difference.
