  1. Richard Sternes says:

    many thanks, David.
the future may be uncertain, but you will always be Captain Cryptic to me!
    regards from Richard

  2. Greg Mansell says:

    What he said.

  3. Tony Dirrmann says:

I heartily concur. You have been my ‘hero’ for ages. I do trust and hope that you can continue. Best wishes.

  4. Greg Mansell says:

This one was pretty tough. I was stuck on a few clues for ages, but as soon as Di joined in, we knocked it off fairly quickly. It seems that doubling the brain power more than doubles the solving speed (although most people would argue that the addition of Mrs Mansell increases the brain power by a factor of much more than 2).

The fabulous Mr Google is normally banned from our Stickler-solving sessions, but we gave up and enlisted his help for 25dn. In hindsight, we probably should have stuck at it for longer.

12ac, 3dn and 13dn were all good fun.

  5. Richard Sternes says:

    good morning David
Incomplete first time in ages – 28a & ergo 24d – but I can wait!
& dare to hope that your various activities can all be accommodated,
    (noting the day change).
