16-down leads me to a word very like one that means what I suspect is the definition here, but a word that I can find in no dictionary. Before I go insane, can you confirm that it is I, and not you, that’s missing something here?

20 across, solution ‘punt’. Not sure how ‘bottle’ fits in with answer.
A punt is the indentation in the bottom of a wine bottle. Hence “hole in bottle”.
